Brand new design barrel manufactured by Bula Defense Systems.
This is a suppressor ready M14 type 16" barrel. Muzzle is threaded 5/8 x 24 as is the new gas lock. There are two types of gas locks in the photo, one with a front sight dovetail base and the other with no base for use with optic set ups only. Gas cylinder is keyed rather than the old spline. Op rod guide is also keyed. These will be available on rifles built by Bula soon.

BDS REALLY puts out a beautiful product(s). I am extremely happy with the all BULA build i just completed (you can see this in "my albums"). I would highly recommend them if you want a quality "forged" rifle at a very reasonable price.

Had some fun in the shop this afternoon. When someone says the parts are mean to be press fit on one of these, they really mean it. This is a semi-permanent assembly. Not a conventional M14 build, that's for sure. This " unit " is ready to be indexed to a receiver tomorrow.

Yep, I think it's going to be a winner. Not much room for barrel whip to take place. Group you shot was darn good for surplus.
I have modified gas plugs on the way. Thanks for the heads up.

It's a novelty, but to each their own. It limits the .308 cartridge. At 300, it works, but don't have high expectations, especially with a standard trigger. Would be awesome if they chambered these in 7.62x39. I asked about it at one point.
I would liked to have seen the 5/8 -24 thread on the 18.5 and 19.25 barrels ad options too.
