I have an M1A Scout Squad. I went to zero it a few weeks ago and could not get the rear sight to adjust at all. I brought it home and loosened the screw on the right side of the rear sight and nothing has changed. However, it did raise the rear sight aperture a bit, but the sight is still "stuck". I have also loosened the screw on the left side of the rear sight and again, nothing happened. Does anybody have any suggestions? JMPWNG2

First I'd try re-tightening the set screw on the elevation (left side) knob. If that doesn't work you'll need to disassemble the sight. Pinion or aperture might have a broken tooth. Or maybe it's as simple as the aperture when all the way down got stuck/hung between the sight cover and receiver. Try filing an angle onto the deep end of the aperture and put it back together.
