Hey guys.

Just out of curiosity (at this point), what is that little doohickey that is holding the stripper clip guide in place on the receiver? Is it a roll pin, itty-bitty set screw, or what?

How is said pin/screw removed, and how hard is it to get the guide off (for purposes of installing a three-point scope mount?

TIA,

Spike

It's a roll pin.

It's easy to remove, just take the correct size roll pin punch & drive the pin out from the underside of the receiver (towards the top of the stripper clip guide - that way you won't ding up your clip guide).

After you have the roll pin out the clip guide can be slid out of the dovetail. It slidea towards the bolt catch side of the receiver for removal. You may need a brass punch to drift it out if its in there tight.
