Early example "M21" built at Fort Benning armory on a Devine receiver for civilian highpower matches. This rifle was assembled in 1972 to exact Vietnam era M21 specifications, to include AR-TEL scope sourced from USALWL (United States Army Limited War Laboratory) and epoxy impregnated stock to provide better weather protection required for jungle warfare. With the exception of the Devine receiver, it is period correct in both parts and assembly. It has remained untouched, a time capsule from the earliest days of the M1A rifle. I purchased this rifle back in 2003 in the Fayetteville / Fort Bragg area.
