The minute I touch the grip my mind is immediately focused on the muzzle, where is pointed and what's beyond it. I catch myself all the time taking my pistol out the safe and while keeping it pointed down to holster, I think about where it's pointing into the basement even.
Maybe I'm kin to Einstein. Pure genious.

We at least try to have the right signage at our business. We have to deal with the shallow end of the gene pool every day. Here is our company policies for the the public to read. I think it helps. At least is helps my staff throw people out that don't belong in our shop:

I hear you on this. Don't remember whether it was my Hunter Safety Instructor when I was 14, or my Rifle Instructors at Ft Ord when I was 18, but SOMEONE put that respect in me. And I am thankful for it.

In fact, it is so EXTREME that I cannot stand in front of the gun counter at Big A$$ Bass because they display the pistols in the glass case with muzzles pointing right at the customers. CREEPY!!!

Someone ought to talk to them about that. I conveys the wrong message about which end of the gun is the smart end and which is the dumb end.
