Is 41 gr ok to start for bolt gun?

My magazines max coal is 1.880 I usually seat to 1.79

I assume that you meant 2.88 and 2.79, correct?

Depending on case volume I'd say that the range of powder charge weights would be from about 38 to 42.5 grains (a low capacity case using the least amount of powder). With a small capacity case I wouldn't go over 40.5 grains while 42.5 grains would be my max for a large capacity case. These max charge weights would produce max pressures of just under the SAAMI max of 62,000 PSI. Most bolt action rifles can handle a little more than that but I don't like to push things beyond the SAAMI limit.

RL-15 loads would be pretty close to how 4064 would work with RL-15 using 1 to 2 grains more for the same results. I'd probably start at 39 grains and go up expecting that my best results would be with a charge weight of around 40 grains.
