First shots with new M1A today

Wow! believe it or not I actually have a day off. I am going up Lolo Pass to a 100 yrd range the forest service made. It is about 8 miles North of Hwy 26 on Lolo Pass Rd, only non gated road to the left. I'll also be taking my Garand and M1 Carbine. This is the first opprotunity to shoot my new toy, Fully Loaded M1A with Govt sights. I'll be leaving Brightwood at 1000 today. I can't wait to see how she performs. Bringing my son who is a outstanding marksman, Started him and his brothers out at about 5 yrs old. Also bring his girlfriend who has never fired a gun in her life.Should be a fun time.

Oregon Newbie

What a bunch of great folks I find on this site, Wonderful help and information. I don't shoot much anymore due to age related problems.

For all you younger folks the old saying "Use it or lose it" is adaptable to this sport also. Another one that I like is "If you have'm shoot'm"
