Good morning gentlemen. I'm the new guy in town and I love this site! I have a question for you all. How can I tell a NM from a Loaded? How would the rifle be marked? Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome:

The NM will differ from the Loaded in that:

1. The receiver will be bedded to the stock. You will see the bedding as you look at the stock area around the receiver.

2. There will be a hooded rear sight on the NM model. The Loaded will have the standard peep.

National Match?

Michael, If the rifle is a NM Model, the heel of the receiver will be marked US Rifle M14mm. Otherwise, you will have just paid more for it than a standard grade and perhaps received a piece of paper stating it is a NM rifle. Also, it should be more accurate than the standard grades. Art

The loaded will have a NM .308 marked barrel also. Both will have NM 0.062 front sight and tuned trigger. Glass bedding, hooded rear sight, unitized gas cylinder, NM oprod spring guide are the major differences.
