I came across a lot of surplus ammo.

This ammo is 1980 and made in South Africa and packed in a brown plastic carry pouch and boxes inside the pouch.

My gut instinct is this is surplus from the Rhodesian insurgency. Can anyone confirm or disprove that hypothesis?

Does anyone have any thoughts on how it might shoot OR If I should even shoot it? I got one pack because I know someone that was involved in that conflict and thought I might present it to him maybe he could tell me more about it.

should I buy more of it?

Any info greatly appreciated

Thanks

-Gun

This used to be the standard by which milsurp was judged. I would get all I could afford. It is berdan primed, but great stuff.

Thanks so much for your help!

It looks like the 80 is more desirable that the 81...I think this lot contained all 1980.

Ill see about picking more up!

thanks again
