A couple of years ago I bought these from a lady across the street from me whose husband had passed away from cancer. She had others, mostly black powder so I hooked her up with an local firearms auction. First is a Colt Frontier Scout in .22 magnum. Serial number puts the manufacture date in 1959. Barrel is 4-1/2". Slight holster wear on left side muzzle end and on ejection rod tube. Revolver hasn't seen much shooting. I fired a box of .22 mags for function check. Every round went bang. Accuracy was decent. Not sure if the grips are correct, but they look pretty good. Pics below:

It is a cool little pistol. I'd keep it if it was a .22lr. At 4-1/2" for the barrel, .22 mag is a little overkill. -Lloyd 🍻

The one my father-in-law had used black plastic grips. Or they looked like black plastic.

These are not original grips. When I was looking at GB and GOA auction, most were the black plastic/hard rubber pattern like the full size SAA's. Also a few stag grips. I do think the wood grips look better then the stag grips -Lloyd 🍻
