Here are some links to some sling items into which I sort of dundered into over the last few days:

Everything will be sold ONE AT A TIME. I have 2 of the unmarked red/brown jobs, can ship with "rough" side oiled or not, and ONE of the natural leather with brass fittings. $30.00 a pop, shipped.

The SMLE/Enfield slings are old style, with the ties, full length, sturdy leather. Have two. $18.50 each, shipped.

The Kerr sling I think is a repro M1923, but it seems long. May be some old foreign military copy, for all I know. $17.50 shipped.

The cloth/web straps are $9.00 each, but on those and the keepers, I'll need separate postage, and in fact, I suggest NOT asking for those without ordering something else, in which case I'll waive shipping. The keepers for the K98k/M48/G.24(t) side slings or 7/8" or 1" belts or whatever are .75 each, and I have ten or more. But again, I wouldn't suggest getting them "one at a time", and want these to go out with something else.

Also have a small assortment of retainer "buckles" ("frosch" or "frogs", the Brits call them "cleats") for the German-style side sling, will be getting those out and priced later this week, or maybe I'll trade them off. $6 each, $.75 for the keepers that accompany, I guess. Best to order with something else and minimize postage.

There are well over 30 shots in all.

Only serious working plan is to sign in with ANY YAHOO I.D. onto flickr.com, and one can then view, enlarge, shrink, etc., etc., and fully browse this extensive collection using all the bells and whistles.

Most files are at least 3mg., many are over 12mg., but you can view at page or thumbnail size or whatever suits whatever device you have at hand.

I'm going to be getting rid of all of this, and soon.

Feel free to fool around and check out the 8000+ images stored in my collection there.

Hey Jim is the Kerr sling the one with the black keeper hooks in the photos?
That is the correct sling for my M1917 right? Looks like it could be shortened if need be. But anyway if you think it will work & it's the one I'm referring to I'll take it.
Thanks

shipment is ready to roll

All the M1907's are taken, pending funds.

The Kerr is TECHNICALLY correct for some late M1917's, the Thompson sling was a shortened version if I recall correctly. It has the spring snap closures and is a yellowish color.

By the way, folks, I have LOTS of M1907's, including many with WW2 markings and so on. I even have the 1917 and 1918 dates in GRADES, including HOYT 1917 and Rock Island 1918.

I don't recommending using authentic, vintage slings for shooting or carry. When they break, it's "forever" forever.

But this particular bunch is about to peel out of here.

Andyh1956, will e-mail or PM you. Yes, I think that's a "deal".

The initial group of M1907's depart to their new owner tomorrow morning or late this evening.

Thanks.

Lots of cool pics! I see you seem to like the Thompson SMG (and who doesn't!). Are you any relation to General John T. Thompson?

I'll take the 2 SMLE/Enfield slings. Is PayPal okay?

No. I am not so fond of the Thompson as I am fond of its looks and history.

Not related to the designer, or if I am, it's so far back, no one will ever find it. Owned and shot lots of them, including some rare ones, but not for many years.

Thanks.

Found another Martini/Enfield/SMLE strap.

Have lots more M1907's, and apparently have, somewhere in labyrinth, more of those particular specimens. The Kerr and Enfield/Martini straps and so on are shipped.

Also: Want to dispose of some of the German sling stuff. Anyone have a suggestion?

Ditto the cloth straps. Both for $12.00, shipped, on those?

Advise if interested.

Leftover canvas/web slings....

If someone wants 'em, or especially if there's interesting in something else, too, I will a great "combination" deal on something WITH the web/cloth black slings. They're 1 1/4" wide and could be handy for a lot of applications.

I just don't need them.

Stumbled across a very cool looking white M1907 with brass hooks. Same price.

And of course dug out more of the undyed jobs, too.
