Howdy all,

I've been smoothing up triggers/ sears for years to make the second stage have a smoother and sweeter pull, but I've always wondered how to actually reduce a trigger pull.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I've measured all my M1A trigger to about 5-6 lbs... maybe the odd one breaking at 4.75 lbs. How do I get it down to a Precision (read: sniper) Rifle pull of 3 lbs without the risk of the stick doubling ??

Suggestions ? Cut a couple of coils off the hammer spring ?

Thanks for the technical help !!

Cheers,
Barney

Hungry,

Seems like a good question, wouldn't mind knowing the answer to that myself. Sorry I can't help you. All I can say is it's mighty quiet around here.

Your best bet would be to either purchase Jerry Kuhnhausen's shop manual, which goes into great detail, or have a qualified Gunsmith adjust the trigger pull for you.
