I have a loaded SA M1A, with MOA. Should I "battle" zero the irons at 25 yards or 25 meters, or does it make a difference. I plan on scoping the weapon after this so a "battle" zero should be sufficient for me at this time.
You can do it either way. I have linked to a nice pdf of the military 25 meter BZO target made by member rburgos which will get you on your way. If you use this target at 25 yards instead of meters, just go for groups just a hair low, like maybe 1/4", since the bullet is still rising at that distance and you'll be very close.
Just make sure you do the iron sight BZO using the ammo you think you will most likely want to shoot with the irons.
