Plenty of load data, try a search....
been doing that seems like 41 to 41.5gr? I tried 40.0 and it seemed to shoot worse than my 39.5 load.
Put my Sadlak groved piston in tonight

My 175 load is a little stiff, so use with caution...

LC brass
42.8 to 43.0 grains of RL-15
CCI-BR2 primer

Velocity is consistent with M118LR. Out of a conventional 4-groove 22" barrel should be around 2610 FPS.

Out of my 5R, it was ~2640FPS.

thanks Tony. I do think LC brass is better to use as it 'feels' tougher?

My reload is

175g SMK Or NOSLER CC
LC Brass
43.0g of IMR 4064
FED 210M Primer

Under 1 moa all day in my NM EBR
thanks killashrub, how do you address the boat tail difference with the Noslers in seating depth? Noslers shot worse with my load and set up compared to the sierras

41.5 H4895 with a 175smk is what I used for awhile with LC or FC brass. Worked fine. 39.5 is probably ~2450fps give or take.
I use this load (41.5 etc) with my 168 SMKs, didn't know you could sub the 175s as well, I've been wanting to move to 175s for both my .308s. Do you have any specs on this ? FPS, not too stout for the M1A? I have the spec for max load for 175, but it's in Win case etc.

Not looking too reinvent the wheel but the clone load for LC Match(M852) using a 168SMK is a LC case with 41.5 of IMR/H-4895 with just about any primer 2.80-2.82 coal. For GI 173's or 175SMK 42.0 IMR-4064 in a LC case is a clone load of the old M118NM load or the current M118LR load, coal 2.82 works very well. You could play up and down a few tenths of a grain if that is your desire.

You can swap either bullet over either load but don't be surprised if the 175 works better with 4064 powder. M/V with the 168's should be close too about 2640ish FPS and the 175 just about at 2625ish FPS.

I don't remember the velocity but I do remember that it was much slower than factory M118LR. Didn't have problems with primer pockets or brass life either, I am still using that same brass for my RL15 loads actually.

Two More Match Loads

I use IMI Match, LC Match and LC headstamps; brass is once or twice fired and trimmed to 2.005", small base die resized full length. Primer is CCI #BR-2; powder is IMR 4064. With 175 gr Sierra Matchking, 41.7 gr 4064. With 175 gr Nosler Custom Competition, 41.9 gr 4064. COAL ~2.812"+

These fly to 600 yds with a fairly steep trajectory (15 clicks up from 200 yd zero), but if I catch light and wind (mirage) changes, the X and 10 are fair game. Recoil is easy compared to many loads. After all, I'm just punching paper.
