Hey Six:

I heard some of the guys at the range (about 2-3 weeks ago) talking about bringing out their battle rifles on Veteran's day. I'm going to bring a camera if I get to go to the range. I'll send pics if I go.

One year, I remember everyone appearing in military garb, shooting their rifles. They seem to span from the Civil War to Viet Nam. It was a blast to see.

Aloha,

Tom O.

Unfortunately for most Americans,Veterans Day is just a day off and an inonvenience because they can't cash a check at the bank or send a package at the post office.

When will it be in fashion to appreciate and thank those who were willing to risk it all to make this kind of life possible?

My battle rifles arent really from battle..besides..now they're called "homeland defense" rifles.

From another FNG, thanks to all current and former serviceman here
on the boards. Years (and I do mean lotsa of them) ago, when I was I
long haired college punk, I probably called you 'baby killers'. Today, with plenty of grey hair and just a bit more wisdom, I call you "Sir".
The Pennsylvania Dutch have a saying, "Too soon old, too late smart";
just might apply to me.

Thank you all for keeping us the greatest country in the world with your
blood, sweat and tears.
