Hi guys, how do you shim the gas cylinder tube ? should I buy shim brass and cut to shape & hole ? or can I use automotive gasket paper ? Its very hard to find m14 drop in part here in the philippines. TIA

If you want to make your own then you can either use brass or stainless steel washers, stainless steel will of course last longer and brass can compress which will loosen the fit over time. The thickness can be anywhere from 0.003" - 0.015" for the washers. The diameters you can work with by drilling out a washer to the proper inside diameter and filing down the outside diameter to an appropriate dimension. The few times that I have installed shims it seemed like the more common thickness is somewhere between 0.015" - 0.020" total thickness.

There was someone on the forum here making them a while ago. I bought a set. Maybe they'd be willing to ship you a set.
