When Barry Sadler's "Ballad of the Green Berets" came out I was about 9 years old. I ordered my very own Green Beret and yellow ascot mail order (from Kaufman's I think) and wore it proudly while my brother (not SF) was in the service and eventually Vietnam. I slew me a passel of communists in the vacant lots of Detroit I can tell you.

I may have started off a little wrong but my intentions were good. In that vein I'd like to see it go to someone who can appreciate and honor it. Current SF or SF in a past life would be perfect.

I worked with a guy who was "Force Recon" in Vnam. He just retired (Dec/31/2015) from a lifetime as a LEO. I'm trying to find something that would be a great belated retirement gift but not expensive or too mushy. I don't know if this would be it but I would also like other suggestions if this is not it.
