Its cast.

Should have a city and state stamped on barrel. Search Devine tx here on the forum.

It's most likely full of usgi parts as well. Pics would be awesome.

Search for tonybens disassembly videos here on the forum as well, so you can break the rifle down to see what parts are in it.

Hi , it is stamped TRW 7791362 3/ inverted T 66 BAE...I'm new to this site and computers....I'll try to send photos next...thanks for you help.
How long have you had it??? You have a match barrel made by TRW in '66 on it. Congratulations. Is the stock bedded by any chance??? -Lloyd BEERCHUG1

It is not a Devine assembled rifle. It was however a receiver most likely made before Elmer sold out to the Reese family so technically it is a Devine receiver.

I am going to see two M1's on Wednesday next that were reworked to accept M14 Mags...the work was done by a fellow named Dick Shipley from the Akron , Ohio area . He was a member of the old Goodyear Pistol and Rifle Club , now called the Zeppelin Club. ..he took M1 receivers ,annealed them prior to machining them . he used Douglas Barrels. Unfortunatley he passed away with cancer. if anyone has information on his guns it would be worth posting I think....I will take photos if anyone is interested.
