Qestion re: Smith mount

Quick question in reference to Smith scope mount. Have 3.5-10 x 50 Leupold tactical scope. As a result of the 50mm will the mount raise the scope to high for a check weld on standard stock?

Thanks,
JeffL

Yes
You won't be able to get a proper check weld with any mount. You are going to need a riser. You can't go wrong with any sei, sadlak, arms, or basset mount.
