Hey guys. Been a while since i posted. Saw this beauty in a case at a local over priced gun show. I offered the lady $20 and she bit. I thought it might be a knock off but what the hell. Got home and found a w on the spine. Is it a fake? What say ye.

Looks exactly like the ones I bought from CDNN, "W" marked, supposedly USGI Spec. It was before I knew better from members here on the forum.

They are not Westinghouse, nor Winchester, nor Worcesterchire Sauce, nor USGI Spec.

They will, at least mine, do, as another poster said, eject live rounds as you are shooting your otherwise well working rifle.

The latch plates on mine look exactly like yours. My "W" stamp is the same as well, the same spot weld marks, the same three dimples at the magazine catch slot.

They were not terribly expensive, I paid under $20.00 a piece. The listing has changed since I bought mine. They are now listed as "Original Equipment" and "USGI Spec Finish" and "Marked W". By the way, the Manufacturer's Name is "Original Equipment". The current price is $24.55.

I had bought mine because at the time I could not find CMI magazines.

Sorry, but mine are now consigned to range use. However, at least you did not overpay for the magazine, and who knows, it might just work.

Two things, with the current state of the political scene I think you did Ok for price... If it works your way ahead of the game by a mile...

The last two mags I acquired were a KMT and BRW-1, $15 and $20 respectively. Both sellers were asking a additional $5 per so it never hurts too throw out a offer if they bite have cash in hand.
