I just got an M1A but it has a medium profile barrel and from what Ive gathered most (or all) scout rails require a standard barrel. Do I have any options for mounting a scout scope without changing my barrel?

I have no personal experience with them, but I believe they can be used with any size barrel.

Well it aint cheap, but if its my only option then I guess I cant really complain too much.

Ill call vltor and see what they say about barrel compatibility.

These can be used with any barrel that uses a standard op rod guide. When I had a med weight barrel it had no issues. Unlike other scout rails that clamp on the barrel this one clamps around the op rod guide. Make sure your using a normal op rod guide and your fine. It's a great rail system and still own one.
