I’m brainstorming a project and looking for advice. I’m a machinist looking to make parts to convert a commercial Kollmorgen bear cub’s sight adjusters to turrets like the the MC52 M1C Garand used.
First off, has anyone heard of this being done before? Anybody ever have the turrets apart on a scope? Or a junk scope I could pull apart for design ideas?
Here’s pics of the Marine scope and Commercial scope.

Make it from scratch.

Make an aluminum turret that fits on the existing adjustment knob, and a collar that screws into the existing cap threads in the scope body.

I think it will be a little more complicated than that. It will need a clicker to prevent it from moving to easily. It should also incorporate a rubber seal to prevent moisture from getting inside.

What look like knobs on the commercial scope are actually covers over the adjuster.
