Seems the sage stock is not retaining the connector well and causing the guide to shoot out. Does anyone know a fix for this? I can't trust this rifle now since it keeps doing this.

You could lengthen the connector pin with a little silver solder for an easy fix.

I had the same issue when I installed my M1a in a Sage chassi. And my fix was to install a regular length connector pin. Mine was flush with the receiver to allow for the bedding in the original NM stock.
It was an easy and cheap fix and i have had no issues after the proper length connector pin was fitted.

Ah, I didn't realize there were different length connectors. Thanks.

So I don't suppose anyone has USGI one they'd be willing to sell?
