Right now I am evaulating different builds for what I want to do with my rifle and one combination I have thought of was:
  • Vltar mod stock
  • Ultimak M8

With either the Sage DCSB or LaRue LT-608, but I am not sure how well those two would work with the M8. Of if this would be effective build.
I just wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

As my ultimate goal is to keep a fairly light m1a with both good scope mount and quick access to stripper clip and iron sights. With an adjustable length of pull since I am finding the standard length to be bit long for me.

Where in Washington are you? I don't mean to burst your bubble, but "light" isn't a relative term to the M14. They were all heavy. I like your ideas, however. That Sage M39 keeps tugging at my memory banks saying, "buy me, you know you want me".

Hmm studying close up pictures I do not think the LaRue would be long enought look like it would only come up to 1/2 or less over the action.
