SFWA sells Springfield scopes for well below MSRP. I bought my Aimpoint from them last year and can recommend them highly. As for the scopes themselves, I have the 3rd Gen. 4-14x56 scope with illuminated rangefinding reticle. It has several hundred rounds of use now and hasn't given me any problems, but others have had to return their scopes to Springfield for repairs. What I'm really wondering is, who's making Springfield's new scopes? Hakko of Japan has been making them but the new look makes me wonder if Springfield is using a new manufacturer. Knowing the manufacturer and their reputation for quality would be a big factor in my decision to buy a new Springfield scope.
