Need some help please.
Just bought a new Nikon M223ar scope.
3-12x42 sf-BDC 600.
I want to use scope rings to mount it to the flat top rail,
My Ar has a A2 stock and I would like to know what size rings,
I should use and if possible still keep it mounted as low as
possible.Any sugestions on rings of good quality at a fair price.
I will be useing this unit for Varmint hunting.
Thanks in advance

I am using a set of Warne rings med. On top of an ARMS mount riser. I found the flattop put the scope so low it was uncomfortable to shoot and my cheek weld was horrible. I see alot of people still mount their scopes really low on ARs but I just can't see how they can shoot them comfortably. Warne makes a set of rings specifically for the flat tops,it is basically an x-high ring.

Something in the 1.25" to 1.4" height should work (rail top to tube center). My guesstimate is 1.1" minimum height but could be lower or higher since I don't know that scope.

TPS rings are around your budget.

I just remembered, Nikon has a one piece mount with rings designed for the AR and it's M-223 scope. Midway has them. Also Burris makes a similar setup as well. Called PEPR or something similar to that. These would be good choices as they are designed for you application. Had the M-223 scope been out when I bought my Monarch I would have opted for the M-223. Oh well what can you do.
