I have a SPS stainless in 308 that I want to convert to 300 or 7mm WSM (still deciding)

I plan to order the barrel and have it shipped to me, then I will send the rifle and barrel to a smith to have it installed and modified.

I am looking for a smith that frequently does Remi 700's and does quality work with proven results and happy returning customers.

i would have a good talk with your smith before doing it, its a good bit of work to make a rifle set up for .308 to work with a WSM cartridge. i truly like the WSM's, and have 2, but i would if it were me, I 'd buy a rifle already set up with the correct bolt face, and magazine/feedlips so that its set up to run.
