I have not seen it either but have been reprimanded about it!
There is a politics/reality check forum,
first you must ask for permission from a moderator initially to enter .
After moderator approval your "in like Flynn" from then on as long as you follow the stated rules, I hope to see yall there.

Denver is beginning to reflect San Francisco. Glad I never moved to Colorado.
Just voted again. Poll is now; 77.96% no, 22.04% yes. -Lloyd BEERCHUG1
Well it is CO.....I hope all the positive votes were not stoners thinking it was funny to vote No....."Duuuuude go grab some munchies....I just voted against an assault weapons ban!....like that's crazy right?....speaking of which grab some salt for the munchies!.....can you imagine if they banned our weed? Duuuuude that would be soooooo baaaaaaaad!"

FWIW.....5 votes for our side from this house....but so skeptical of what it actually does except makes feel good for a moment in time...
83/17 for us on my last one before racking out.
83.3% no to 16.6% yes gives me hope that freedom lovers are more plentiful than I thought. At least at that location.
would only let me vote 4 times 84% no 15% yes
Bob
XXIV,
Appreciate you letting me "slip this one through," but note that I was very careful to craft my comments in such a manner that it was just at the very edge of the cliff, another word or two and I would have fallen into that black hole. Seriously though, I do appreciate the fact that constant political rants are not permitted for such "noise" only becomes louder and louder and accomplishes nothing in the end, if there is an end. My visits on this site are mostly due to two reasons, M1A/M14 information and no screaming and shouting with vulgarity and political verbiage. Would mention however that there was a time, long time ago now, that I would have been one of the loudest and nastiest of those acting in such a manner but time has a way of "mellowing" even the nastiest of folks. As they say, "carry on men, smoke 'em if you got 'em."

We came , we saw , we kicked azz !!!

Checked this morning
Over 27,000 votes have been cast
86% or over 23,000 voted a resounding NO to a renewed ban
14% or 3,800 voted for an assault weapons ban
We kicked azz at a 6 to 1 rate ,
I hope this has the blues seriously rattled .

where would I find the forum rules regarding politics?
I skimmed down the Rules section and didn't see where politics was mentioned

I think I might have made such a transgression recently and just want to avoid doing it again.

So doesn't look like there is an official rule against it but more like a informal common courtesy rule because we do hvae a sub section for it.
Remember that the Supreme Court permits the administration to redefine terms and make clarifications to laws/regulations passed by Congress.
Assault Rifle can be redefined in a number of ways to encompass pretty much any long gun.
A commercial Assault Rifle is semiautomatic, therefore semiautomatic pistols can be redefined as Assault Rifles.
Foot in the door.............
Well it looks like both sides are talking about barring purchases for folks on watch lists.
So was this idiot on a watch/no fly list or whatever they're called? I ask this because he was an armed government employee or contractor working for or with DHS.

And I'm not for denying any citizen the right to bear arms, even if (especially if) the government has them on a list.
So was this idiot on a watch/no fly list or whatever they're called?....
No, he wasn't Despite having been interviewed by the FBI twice

Once again, their "solution" had nothing to do with nor would it have prevented the very incident that precipitated their "solution".
Ban

Maybe this is a good time to tell my wife we need to buy more Ar's because of the price jump to come, Hey that could apply to many other things also!

I wasn't sure what an asshat was. This is what I found.

Personally I think I'd call them something a little less adorable. GI1

Just because something was proven not to work doesn't mean a Politian thinks that it won't work the next time.

I sure wouldn't post on facebook that I owned any firearm! Tom
Your/My/Our Mere Presence on the M14Forum is one big-ass clue !!!

Final Update

Just checked for the last round
With 43,912 votes cast
the NO's received 87.84% of the vote a total of 36,817 good folks are with us.
the Yea's received 12.16% of the vote a total of 5096 unfulfilled victims against us.
At a little better than 7 to 1 odds, I'd say we proved our point.
Don't think politicians haven't noticed .
Thanks to all who helped make this small victory possible.
