Yeah yeah I get were this is going...lol. restrictions on everything. So frustrating. Good thing the M1A is allowed here even tho the break is different (Actually like the looks of the CA version better than the rest). I lived in Utah for a while and go hunt in Texas every two months so the restrictions aren't that bad (Don't get offended fellow Californians i understand it sucks here and we should have them). When I fly to Texas I fly with my AR but don't bring mags. Just use my buddies when i get there.

I wish! That would be pretty fun. Especially with Trump allowing them to do their jobs now. I'm not Hispanic but i do speak Spanish fluently so it would probably be an interesting job. I never want to shoot anyone and hope i never have to but there are some bad hombres coming over. The Coyotes that steal and rape the women they bring over are nasty monsters. Plus all the drugs. I see it first hand living in a sanctuary city. Scary stuff.

Lake Elsinore is a sanctuary city??? Just kidding. I normally shoot at Burro Cyn or Camp Pendleton with Santa Margarita Gun Club.
Awesome picture! I don't live in Elsinore. Just go there to shoot. Grew up in LA and now live in Corona. Burro Canyon is awesome. Its too far of a drive for me though when i can go 20 min to BLM land by Elsinore. Ive never shot at Pendleton but i do go surfing there all the time. How is it?

Anyone else local?
Semi-local, 29 Palms. I'm probably 2+ hours from you. Edit: I see you live in Corona, I used to live there on E Citron St. when I was a kid. Still about 2 hours away.
Good to see people out shooting, the weather has been fantastic the last couple days, even a bit warm. I need to make a range trip myself.

Deliverance Ranch is just a few miles out of Elsinore, on Nichols Rd. north of I-15. Good place to shoot, with ranges at 300yds out to 1000yds. Smoothy, Elsinore is trying to shut down shooting on BLM land that's close to the city. Unfortunately rounds have been landing close to some houses. How can you guys shoot at Burro??? Every time I go up there, it's gusty and windy. Even the targets get blown down. -Lloyd BEERCHUG1

Got some range time in after the last few rain storms southern California has had. Super rare that we get so much rain but made the hills around Lake Elsinore look absolutely amazing. Not a lot of green here. Anyone else local?
Alaska is my home and has been since 1983, however, I do appreciate your part of the country.

I have worked down out of Corona for very short stints here and there (during winter months, my "off" season) for a fishing client who owned a construction company.

First stint stayed with my boss up at Eagle Glen (Corona) , another stint stayed at Norco, yet another longer stint brought my family down and rented a place in Wildomar for a few months. We enjoyed that immensely with daily swims in the pool, mountain biking out the front door and carne asada from the local market, not to mention grapefruit, lemons and avocadoes!

The last stint I stayed with my boss and his wife again up above the Santa Rosa Plateau on Escala (they had moved from Corona) From there could see Big Bear and the Pacific, as well as hear cannon fire from Camp Pendleton. I was there for only five weeks that time but hiked over 70 miles in the evenings coming back with headlamps and on weekends.

Both with and without my family on those trips I developed an appreciation for your part of the country. The only thing I missed was having a firearm, well, my own firearm anyway, with me for some of those trips.

Haven't been down there for several years now but have quite a few friends who come up to fish with me every year, specifically from Corona. I know for a fact you would know who they are.

One thing I was bummed about, that first year in Eagle Glen there was a grapefruit orchard to the south of Eagle Glen that ran all the way down to the 15 (off the Cajalco), it's not there anymore, fact is just looked on Google it looks like empty land, but MAN, did those blossoms smell wonderful!

Oh yeah, Lake Elsinore, enjoyed driving on the west side of it there was a little stand that sold local honey that my family and I enjoyed bringing home.

One more thing, I did find shell casings here and there up in the hills that told me somebody enjoyed shooting "out in the bush"

Cheers man! and thanks for the post.

How do we do it? Simple, we put 1-1/2 MOA left windage at 200 yds.....
With the way the wind gusts up there in every direction, you must spend more time adjusting that windage drum more then ya do shooting. Last time I was there the wind was gusting 30-35mph. -Lloyd BEERCHUG1

Amazing. So happy with it. I have since dressed it all up and now want to buy a socom with walnut to leave stock. Haven't even had it for 2 weeks and i have the bug. I like it more than any of my AR rifles. Easy to know why.
When I bought my rifle I had 6 ARs now I have only 1. Im wanting a walnut scout rifle. I want to remove the forward mount and replace the handguard and just have a shorter clone to my loaded model. ARs I just got bored with them, I have owned a lot of them but after shooting a real rifle they lost their appeal.
