39.0? My source said 39.5, the rest is correct.
39.0? My source said 39.5, the rest is correct. The famed Marine team load for 200/300 was 39.0 of 3031 w/ a 168SMK. (Loaded by Federal) Later became GMM.
Ahhhhh. 30.5 ?I have more experience with 4895 -
But, for 3031 - 30.5 with LC Cases and Sierra 168, Fed 210M --- was the go to load
Yes, IMR-3031 is the quickest powder that's usable in our rifles. For newb's like you IMR-4064 is the slowest with IMR/H-4895 is about in the middle. So 3031 is a faster powder than say 4895 or 4064? I was told by everyone that 40.0 gr. of 4895 was too little powder.

My Dad say's, getting old isn't for the weak...Getting older doesn't help....
If it passes the smell test 42.grs under a 168/175 COAL 2.82 in a LC case is the gold standard. If it fails the smell test and you will know that rancid smell, off too the flower bed.I don't have any 3031 here but did find a can of 4064 with a $10.00 tag on it...
Still good?
