Does your Armscorp M14 receiver have "SILVER SPRING, MD" or "BALTIMORE, MD" stamped on the operating rod rail? This is research for the book M14 Rifle History and Development.

The serial numbers are within 70 digits of one another.

I used to have an Armscorp with a serial number in the A003XXX range and it had Silver Spring MD on the side of the oprod rail. I can no longer remember the exact serial number, bought it used back in 1992.

Mine is marked:

On the op rod rail surface:

Also:
the reciever markings on this one appear to be engraved rather than roll marked.
The markings are not very deep and may be CNC engraved. The markings are very distinct and crisp, just not very deep.

Under the op rod rail on the right side of the receiver it is also stamped 7790189.

Took a look under mine #A0070xx and it has the same number stamped in the stock line never seen it till now.
