When I was in the Iowa NG every stall in the latrine had a small
magazine rack just for PS . Man I wish I had a pile of those to read
right now !!!

Lauren Becall, actually, which is more fitting. If you look back at the earliest artwork, you can see the resemblance.

And back then, she was a Staff Sergeant.

Corporal Connie Rodd was introduced in the August 1942 issue of Army Motors, the predecessor to PS Magazine. In PS, she was a civilian.

I remember those mags. I saw them quite a bit at Ft.Hood. Didn't see them too much when I was in Germany. -Lloyd BEERCHUG1

In the first few years of PS she was still in the Army:








She was eventually promoted to Staff Sergeant


However either the Army got tired of her ill-fitting uniforms or Eisner wanted more edgy pictures, so she took her discharge in the early 1960s:
