Can someone explain to me the ramifications of being at the range with pre-ban features on an M1A? Example...I reside in CA and if I am at the range with a 20-rd. mag & flash suppressor w/bayonet lug...how does an ATF agen know whether or not the rifle has always been that way? At least since 1994?

ATF could simply make a 5 minute call to Springfield and give them the serial # and that would give them the month and year when that rifle was made. When I purchased my pre ban Super Match, I called Springfield to verify it's pre ban status and it took just over five minutes to get the information. I would not do it and I consider myself a rebel.
