Potential build parameters. ELCAN scope, ARMS mount, GI M14, GI fiberglass stock. I'm not sure if I've ever seen this combination anywhere. The scope might be too high but could be cured by an adjustable cheek rest
Just for the record, my fascination with Aimpoints and EOtechs have faded away as when I look thru the either of them, it looks like a clust of grape now sadly.

I think M14CA scope mount comes all the way back to where the rear sight would be. If that is any help for you .

I think the only mount designed for the ACOG that has a unique rail that pushes the ocular back a couple of inches is the SEI mount for the ACOG. Here's a thread, but I don't have any experience with this set-up.

You probably could scoot the rail back on the Smith mount to make an Elcan work, but it's still going to be pretty high. Another thing to think about would be interference between the sight ears and the ARMS mount on the Elcan.

The problem mounting an Elcan is that you want it as low as possible, but using an ARMS #18 doesn't put it at the optimal eye relief.

Even directly mounting an ACOG to the Smith mount is high. It's doable, but not optimal. Cheek riser maxed out and it's still an iffy cheek weld. (For me at least, but I have really high cheek bones)
