1909, 1959, and 1978 Colt SAA
Nice. I like the weathered look and that scabbard is sweet. I’ve made grips for a colt. 2 piece but still tricky to fit. I need to get that one on my permit and out of dad’s basement.Yes they are one piece, the antique ivory look alike are from Buffalo Brothers, the wood ones are the ones that came with the gun just refinished.
And here is the update with the finished Antiquing process I did. Couldn’t bring myself to touch the color case hardening but it matches. Still might hit the grips again with some leather dye to even out the color a little more. The streaks aren’t as pronounced as the photo shows. I got plenty of new looking guns, wanted something that looked like it was from 1872. View attachment 440601 View attachment 440602
I like your name, Old18C. I should change mine to Old18B. 7th SFG, DOL!As an older guy who bought his first centerfire revolver in 1972 (Mom signed for it) and was issued his first duty revolver in 1977 (colt). I have taken a great liking to S&Ws, here are some I have saved still in my possession.
