Gun Owners of America has given the following warning published: 4th of August 2022

Representative Don Beyer has introduced a bill in the House (HR 8051) that will impose a 1,000% FEDERAL TAX on a vast number of semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns – and every magazine holding more than ten rounds.

Beyer claims this tax could be passed with JUST 50 votes in the Senate through reconciliation, with Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote.

At a time when Americans are getting crushed by Biden’s economy, a 1,000% tax on so-called “assault weapons” would essentially be a backdoor ban on commonly-owned firearms and magazines.

Yet Beyer even admits that his tax is not really about raising federal revenue, but “creating a pathway to pass a new restriction on assault weapons with a simple majority in the Senate.”

With a reconciliation vote expected THIS WEEK, we need your help alerting the 50-50 Senate to STRIKE DOWN this tax on “assault weapons” and magazines.

That's still risky. Possibly the tax will be included in another omnibus 'print more play money' bill with something in it for everyone. At any rate, tighten up your panty hose, the 'won't cost you anything' lie relative to overspending is going to come to roost pretty quickly and WE will pay for it, under $400K incomers will be included.....because of our sheer numbers, we have more taxable assets than the evil 1%'ers.

Well they shouldn't own guns anyways.... ;)
(That was completely sarcastic, btw)

No you're right.
And they are the ones buying the guns because there is no longer any police protection in these neighborhoods.

In Chicago, yesterday, a man was shot when he confronted a gang of thieves trying to steal the catalytic converter from his car.

I'm in Chicago also but where all the city workers are... The violence in this city is insane and Kimmie Foxx just keeps letting them go....

"We The People" is the group I was referring to as the only group who can hold our government accountable, not Supreme Court, not Donald "Can't we just get the guns now and have due process later?" Trump, and not Congress (the opposite of progress).

We keep expecting somebody else to do what needs to be done FOR us. But when you let somebody else guard your henhouse in politics, it has this funny way of always being a fox. And they spend so much time keeping people arguing about red foxes vs. blue foxes... it is a game and far too many of us are willing participants in the "red team red team ra ra ra" (or maybe "maga maga ra ra ra").

Yet we refuse to see (or even look at) the inconvenient truths about our so-called heroes. Ever wonder why?

We keep reaching for solutions that are doomed to fail, believing lies that we can have freedom without lifting a finger ourselves, and pushing buttons on programmable voting machines expecting what comes out to be true and to fix things.

And still we sit back.

At the end of the day the bottom line is this: Our form of government was never meant to have a small group of rich, powerful politicians who attend orgies and play golf together run and own everything. That is just what we have let it turn into. It was intended for the people to, for the most part, govern themselves. THAT is what used to be the reason people would risk it all to come here for.. Because we were free to work, and if we worked hard we got to enjoy the rewards of our labors. Instead of our own government interfering.

As our government has grown, so has the chunk of the fruits of our labors that is taken away from us and given to people who haven't earned it.

Where will the revenue from this tax go? What will it be used for? More public shooting ranges? Free firearm safety courses? If we, gun owners, who would be paying this proposed tax are not benefiting from it, then it is a Poll Tax…….... on a Constitutional Right…… just as if it were a tax to vote…….. or go to your house of worship……. Or expressing your (peaceful) opinion in public…..

these gun-grabbers are not afraid...coz they are not afraid. 😁😁

My point is - what is the point of all this honing fine rifle marksmanship??? George Washington crossed a frozen river in dead of winter to take care of business. Is 'defending our freedoms from foreign and domestic enemies' just empty words anymore?

Winter is coming -
