bar parts kits are available from sarco or florida gun works for approximately 500 dollars. receivers are available from philly ordnance 80% finished for about 450 dollars. another 200 dollars for completed maching and you have a semiauto bar, not the real thing but close enough and legal. look into it. i did and its one kick ass rifle.MsgtMaze said:I'm Drooling....... 8)
no, you have to find a good gunsmith or do it yourselfOxmix said:Does Philly Ordnance also install your parts kit?

if you will notice in my statement, i paid 200.00 dollars for the 20% machine work. some idiot witha drill and a dremel would surely ruin the receiver. it is a must that you get in with a good machinist with the correct blueprints which are available all over the web. if you are patient and willing to do it right, the end result is awesome, mine is just an absolute dream to shoot and it is legal. not to mention the attention it draws at the local range.SixTGunr said:One other thing to consider .....
Been there ... Done that ...
Ya might want to watch these 80% finished advertisements .....
Don't get the idea that the other 20% can be done with a simple dremel tool and a drill press .....
I was fortunate enuff to get my hands on miltary blueprints and had an experienced tool and die maker finish it out with laser cutting and all that fancy stuff they use. Ya just might find that beveled edges are required as well as all other holes ... rivets ... pins and whatever are generally laid out from a single point location.
Just my experience with 80% stuff ......
Sometimes things sound a lot easier than they actually are ...
