Nice find. A bayonet I admit was the major motivation to sell my scout and get a 22" barrel. I already had the lugged flash hider and couldn't take advantage of it. This just happened this week. I am happy camper.

I had one NIW. My daughter picked the box up, looked at it, opened it & slid the foil wrap out & looked at it, then before I could say Anything she Tore the foil open & looked at it & just threw it down on the table & walked off...

From reading into your post I assume that means Aerial and Imperial made bayonets that had good quality. The post that was linked gave the impression that other manufacturers made very crudely formed bayonets.

Not an expert, but from what I've read here on M14, yes, those are the top shelf M6 bayonets.

I think you will find that those just the M7s for the M16. The op found a niw M6 which is for our beloved M14.

Imperial has always made the highest quality bayonets. M5, M6, M7.

I've seen defective Milpar M6's fresh out of the wrap.

Anything made by General Cutlery will be pretty crude.
