Has any body used a AR style stock for Rem 870's from Phoenix Technology LTD. ?
A friend of mine gave me one and it looks a little hokey to me, the way the AR style stock tube fits the grip adapter looks to be a little weak. I will post some pictures latter.

A few years ago, I was infatuated with the idea of a recoil reducing stock, that was being marketed by Blackhawk, for 870s. They ran around $100 including a forearm, and had a similar one that didn't reduce recoil, about $40 cheaper.
Every time I tried to order one through Brownells/Midway/Natchez they were always out of stock. Maybe "Karma" looking out for me, as I never ordered one!!!
Their design looked different than the Phoenix model, like a flex joint with heavy springs, the Phoenix to me looked as if someone used a mercury filled cylinder within the extension tube.
Never seen one up close, just pictures!!!

I bought a used 870 with the un-sprung Blackhawk installed. It is okay if you need an adjustable stock on an 870, but the pump end is to bulky for me. I've thought about putting original 870 stock back onto it but I'm really a bigger fan of my two Mossberg 930 semi-autos (factory rubber LimbSaver-type butt pads) and shoot them 10x more than the 870.
