I am set up to blast and parkerize a M14 parts kit. Question, any don'ts on immersing (in solution) any parts? Plan on parking stripped bolt, op rod, trigger group disassembled, flash hider and other small parts. Thanks in advance!

Parts should be in some kind of basket(stainless steel) and kept off the bottom of the tank where a silt(?) will form. If left in this silt the part will not be parkerized evenly.

First off SS won't park. You will have to black oxide it.
Second get some SS wire or rod and hang your parts in the tank so they do not touch the sides or the bottom.
Make sure you degrease thoroughly before blasting and do not touch the parts with your bare hands, wear latex gloves when handling the blasted parts. After parking dip them in hot distilled water and then into a oil bath

Thanks for al replies! Parkerizing on parts kit came out great. Do you need to condition the park solution with steel wool every time you heat it up or just the first time.

No need to do it every time.As a matter of fact ive never done it..I use Alleghany Arsenal magnesium phosphate straight out of the jug with distilled water and it turns out just fine.

M14 kit re-park complete, very happy with results. Thanks for all replies! Here's the trigger group.
