OK so who panicked and bought a AR before the election?
I bought 3 Anderson lowers on a credit card just in case, now I have to start acquiring parts to build them.

I wanted too, but I don't have the money. I scored and bought a running 460 for my f250 for $50 with LOTS of extras. I am saving funds to build a cz26 that I have. It will make a great carbine that's cheaper then a 9mm ar. Plus slowly acquiring parts for a rifle build in 308.

I've got enough guns, never thought I'd say that, don't tell my wife; well......until POF actually starts shipping the 6.75#, 16" barreled 308 Revolutions. About a month ago I picked up some small backup parts, brass, and a few bullets for reloading. That's about it, I've got enough ammo, if there can be such a thing. I rationalize like this, statistically speaking, I've got more ammo than I would ever be able to expend in a SHTF senario before I was shot dead by someone else; no delusional Hollywood like thinking here, only reality.

Sooooooo relieved Trump was elected!

Now I can take my time researching and saving for a thermal scope; hoping FLIR gets off their butts and updates their scopes, the IR Hunter MK III units from TNVC are a much more advanced unit with more features in the same price range. FLIR is well past due for an update. Here's to hoping they get something new out at Shot Show 2017!!

Howdy Buckeroos,

I bought one a couple of years ago when we lived in California.

There was a possibility that semi-autos would be either banned or require registration.
I still have it, with the bullet button, at least it does not take up much room.

After what just happened in California, I would be more concerned with State regulation changes more so than on the Federal level.

That is in the immediate future.

Whether you bought one in a panic mode or just wanted one, they have become a staple of life these days in the firearms community. If you will note, the trend these days to refer to the AR15 as a Modern Sporting Rifle, MSR is an effort to disguise that frightening name of AR15, "the black rifle." Other than the AK's, no other firearm has become so accepted by the shooting public and recognized around the globe. If you do not have an "MSR" get one and after you do, accumulate/make lots of ammunition to support it

Of ALL the AR receivers out there, I would not build on an Anderson. Sell them, and get something better (which would be about any other one out there except polys).

And yes, PSA has the best deals on AR parts and ammo.

Learning from past experience... I have enough of pretty much everything to get me by. Have been working on reloading components the past year leading up to the election... having lived through the bullet and powder shortage 4 years ago.

80Percent Arms makes a nice lower if my measurements are correct it's Milspec by the blueprints I have found on the internet. In conjunction with the jig I believe it can be finished in a couple hours.

Well, I have enough guns too but....I've been wanting to build a .308 based AR for some time now. Ran into a deal on a new Aero M5 complete lower, the seller had it priced the same as Aero, so I did it. Now to acquire the parts to build the upper I want. Also bought some ammo from SG but that's it.
