Just got my LRB (bottom) to go with the Hook Boutin Springfield (top). I didn't need two, but got two anyway. And it's your fault. You guys on this forum. You share the blame.

Now you need to make room for the next two...
1x1 and 2x2... can't wait to see the next set of twins.

I had an ex once upon a time tell me that I was "an enabler". Maybe she was right...
.....I didn't need two......

Now that's just crazy talk!
You'll come to your senses later and realize you need a lot more than
just two.

PS: Beautiful rifles you have there!
It is an addiction that cannot be cured. It can, however, be treated with the occasional administration of a new rifle. You should be warned that the habit of hiding/hoarding spare parts will lead to a faster onset of the next outbreak resulting in the circle beginning all over again. Isn't it great?YIKES1

You do understand that this is not the end, but the beginning?!?
Nope! disagree on our share of the fault GI3. I am on my second build and no one put a gun to my head, but I did twist my own arm. GI1

The first one was built by 7.62mm. The second one I still need a receiver, got everything else. Possibly an SAI from Champions Choice.

LAW483 is right, "is not the end, but the beginning"
Looking good, thanks for sharing the pics!
I really like the color of the stock on the LRB, what finish is that?
TWINS! I like it. Geez when I joined the forum 2.5 yrs ago I had one now I have 7. It just down right scary if you ask me. I better sell off all my spare parts before it happens again.

I hear ya brother, same thing happened to me. Just mindin my own biz and a bunch of these crazed M14 fanatic's just kept pourin it on. They obviously have some kind of former military mind control goin on here.
I was perfectly content shootin my 85 SAI NM for the last 25yrs. Now I got a new forged 7.62 Scout build. Buyin more mags, tons of ammo, spare parts etc etc etc.
But will fully admit to loving every bit of this awesome community.GI2

Seeing how it is our fault. And WE are SHARING the BLAME...

Now here's my question... do we get to SHARE the TRIGGER TIME?

I concurr with RET DEP 04. I had a spare complete brand new Winchester bolt I kept close to my two rifles. Went down to the basement & found a like new Winchester trigger aasembly. I took both pieces away from the rifles so there was no more co-mingling & now I have a Winchester op-rod show up with the bolt & trigger assembly. Something funny is going on here but at the rate they are going I may get enough parts for a Winchester build. Terrible how these things multiply, almost like rabbits!
Leave the two of them in a room overnight and you will soon have a 3rd, a 4th, and a 5th member of the family DI5
It just takes a super fancy Walnut and I have all the reason I need to build another rifle for display.

Nice rifles, that stock on the lower one looks like I can make room in my case for it.. looks real nice.

They are prolific breeders I'm working on number 8 "the bun is in the oven" as they say. This is a true sickness and you won't be finding any help around here to cure you.
"Maybe one would satisfy the need..."

"Well, two would provide the back up..."

...

"So where does the 3rd Scout go?"

.
Don't fight the urge, just go with it. I'm up to three at this point and I have a Springfield M14 kit that I recently bought from LRB out in the shop waiting on me to find another heel stamped Poly Tech M14 to covert using that USGI parts kit. I also have a new TRW bolt than may be the beginnings of yet another project down the road. My wife doesn't mind either because building M-14s is still far cheaper than my main addiction of restoring late 60s Triumph motorcycles. We won't even go into another bad habit of buying and restoring 30s-60s vintage short wave receivers.
