I have fired thousands of rounds of Norinco. It is good stuff!

Wondering if anyone has had experience with this Norinco stuff as described by the vendor:
"Norinco 223 Rem 55gr FMJ Case of 1600. This is brass cased, reloadable, non corrosive ammo. It comes in two 800 round cans."
The price comes out to about 25 cents/round. This would represent something like panic buying on my part, but I'm worried about having fun target shooting ammo on hand next summer, or ever for that matter.

At 25 cents a round I would buy all you can afford.
I fired a couple of thousand rounds of this in the mid 1990's and from what I remember it came in yellow boxes with a headstamp marked "JC" along with a few other letters.
The brass was good for reloading and as I remember some of my most accurate AR handloads were made with this brass.

I didn't mean to raise false hopes- ammunition cannot be shipped between the US and Canada unless it's between highly licenced vendors. If it's any consolation, this normally works strongly against us Canucks, both availability and price wise.
I bought 2 cases of this stuff back in the '90's (I don't recall the exact price, but $200 per 1K rings a bell...) It shot fine but the brass was crap... I encountered split necks in about 1 of every 7-8 rounds I fired. I didn't trust the brass and wound up scrapping it.At 25 cents a round I would buy all you can afford.

Bought 1K of it in 1991...very strong ammonia smell when fired. Some rounds felt like they were "hotter" than the others. Decent accuracy for fmj from what I remember. If the price is right, go for it.
Isn't there an import ban on Norinco into the U.S.?
If you are able to get some, yes bought about 6000 rounds of it when I bought my first AR right before the '94 ban. I shot it all and had no problems with it. My father in law bought about the same and we just shot some last summer, it still went bang and had no problems in any of the ARs we had with us.
For reloading, as has already been said, check the brass very closely, I got about 80-90% I was able to reload, but they didn't load more than one or two times at best. But for that price it is better than shooting steel cases.
