I have a cousin that was all for FAL and after having some trouble getting it accurate. After shooting a couple of my M14's he finally broke down and bought an M1A.

Don't get me wrong the FAL is a great rifle but it has a couple shortcomings compared to the M14 and the M14 has a few shortcomings to the FAL it all depends which ones you value more.

I don't want to make this a endless battle of M14 vs FAL so im just going to stop and say WELCOME FROM FLORIDA!

Welcome from SD. Son-in-law has a FAL and I looked long and hard at it but decided that I liked the M1A better-think I made a good choice. 'Twis 6 of one and half-a-dozen of the other-until I shot my M1A, then no contest.
