Dude on Wideners says he would shoot the linked Paki M80 in his FAL all day long but not his SAI M1A? Whats up with that? Is the FAL a beast and the M1A a queen? Or is he crazy? I want to know because that seems like the cheapest thing going besides that corroded Port junk that i got GI3

dude....i run Paki ammo in my M1As all the time. never had a problem. it is clean burning and goes bang every time. i dont believe it is NATO spec though, and it turns my 1.8 MOA rifle into a 4 MOA rifle. other than that it is good to go IMO. just be sure to clean the rounds with alcohol after you de-link that stuff.

i'd say if you dont need accuracy, then buy some for your M1A. it will be less accurate than Wolf but cleaner........for whatever reason.

I think the guy was basically saying that the ammo is inaccurate. In a FAL it wouldn't make much difference because they are really not noted for their accuracy (although I've seen some pretty accurate ones).

oooohh less accurate than wolf and 2nd worst on Corps list is a pretty big turn off. Thanks guys.
yeah, it still has it's place though. i use that stuff when im runnin' and gun'n at close range, blastin' stuff with a red dot. ive never shot it past 150yds. it is not a bad deal for what it is. out of all my brands of ammo it sits just one shelf above my Wolf. i run the Wolf through my FAL. i dont let communist steel cased ammo touch my American guns.

Paki POF ammo is not to be used for anything that matters. it is my lead sling'n ammo.

I've seen guys shoot rifleman scores at full distance with their M1A's and "Paki" 7.62X51 surplus. Maybe they just had really accurate M1A's.

I've seen some pretty accurate shooting with Paki and some pretty bad, some pretty clean Paki and some that wouldn't fire and again some that was filthy. I'd shoot it in YOUR '14!

That's the point, Paki ammo is inconsistent. Sometimes it shoots great and other times it's junk.

You can never have too much ammunition on hand.

Sweets, please remember Rules #2 of Ammunition.DI5

The 10 Golden Rules of Ammunition:

1) You can never have too much ammunition on hand. 1k rounds per battle rifle is a good minimum to start with (fubar).
2) Supplies of good surplus run out before you know it, and usually when you're running low on ammunition so buy plenty while its available.
3) When in doubt about how much ammunition you should buy, refer to rule #1.
4) Ammunition is meant to be shot, so shoot often.
5) Because of rule #4, ammunition must be replenished often as well.
6) When replenishing supply of ammunition, refer to rules #1 through #3.
7) You must buy at least twice as much ammunition as you shoot (fubar).
8) Always store ammunition in a cool dry place (TEA). The only time you have to much ammunition is when you have a house fire(Slick).
9) If you don't have room in your house to store ammunition per rule #8, build a bunker or a cellar in your back yard for storing ammunition (TEA).
10) Friends don't let friends buy Indian surplus ammunition (TEA). Or Never buy surplus ammunition from a country where you wouldn't drink the water (midrat).

So what's with the alcohol after de linking?
it comes in an ammo can full of grease. i de-link each round from the belt and clean each round. alcohol works for me....YMMV. i do this while watching TV. doesnt take that long. i have put about 700rds of that stuff through my M14s and not one complaint other than it does not hold MOA consistently.......but i dont use it for shooting paper. i use it for when i want to have a rock 'n roll good time and not burn up my good stuff. i used to use Wolf for that roll, but i got tiered of my gun turning to mud after 60rds.
