Hi, maybe this is not the correct place where to put this video, if it doesnt sorry.

i think its good to share it with you because i like it and hope you too.

the manufacture is the German "Schmeisser" and i feel proud because in Europe sometimes we also know how to do things...

Hope you like it

Thanks for posting the video that of this German M-16 it's very impressive.

I can't help but wonder if it's still a direct impingement system that's faithful to Eugene Stoner's original design or not?

Ive always wanted to try the water cool method and have thought of all kinds of ways to do it like spray bottles, wet wash cloth, gallon jugs ect. but hadnt thought of pouring it from a bucket. it is strange why they didnt keep the water closer to the firing spot and instead walked like twenty yards to get to it and the sand test was kind of silly especially since he used the dust cover but its a cool vid man i enjoyed it

That was a cool video, but what caught my eye was your signature line. It reminded me of my time in Spain and of the food I miss.

Is this like the IAR with the open bolt design? While I am no expert i would assume that is a Piston gun, otherwise it would have gone KABOOM when he fired it after submersion.

From what part of Spain are you? I spent time in Galicia, Pais Basco, and Castilla Leon.

I see nothing about it on their website other than a mention of "Currently our Military and Law Enforcement Schmeisser weapons encompass AR-15s, M-16s, M4s and the new-for-2012 Solid Line. So it's a new/different line than their standard AR's.

From the video by the looks of that block, plug and the way the rifle ran it seems clearly a piston AR. It looks like an Adams slimline version to me from the block.

I've never seen a DI run that hard that didn't have a red hot glowing gas tube underneath the forearm on it way to melting, and than melt most of the time.

It sounds like they try hard to make a nice rifle, but there are lots of those with American companies for American, like Adams Arms if one wants a piston AR of top quality. Nice to see for Germans and other Europeans though. Thanks for posting it Big_Bertha.
