Too much work, too many late nights and long business trips have fueled some extensive internet spending.

This is one.
I bought this off Gunbroker.
Came with another fiberglass stock, 5 CMI 20 rounders, an SAI 10 and 5 rounder, several handguards.

It is an almost new 6 groove barrel
Mixed GI trigger group, Winchester bolt, HRA op rod.
I took the ARMS off for another project.
Swapped the reamed flash hider on this one for a neutered one I had (may put a brake on later)
Stock is actually an excellent GI but looks like crap in the GB picture.
Dusted off a Whamo Camo Diamondback stock I have been wanting to do something special with and am going to try out an AimPoint Patrol sight this weekend.

Not sure about this forward mount but will give it a try. Seems way off zero just looking through it.
Will get rid of the excess stuff after I sort it out.

Makes those long hours and time away from home worth it. When I came home from a foreign job I often did the same thing, you have to make it worth your time. Nice rifle btw.

I got to take the scout out to the range today.
Put a Coast Guard brake on her first.

She was wayyyyy left and low so walked it in at 50 yd

I am pretty sure that firing affects the left right with the mount clamped to the barrel. I pushed it out to 100yd and just shot 10 shot strings as quick as I could get back on target.

Nothing stellar but serves the purpose of this rifle to quickly put a lot of firepower on a pie plate from 100yd and in. I still may play some type of mount that does not clamp to the barrel but gets the optic forward. Not sure what that is yet.

Also have a Scout. Put a forward mount Leatherwood on it. Wanted to keep the stripper clip loading available. Never was happy with that setup. Went to the Bassett mount and a Leopold. Put the Leatherwood on a Ruger Gunsite Scout. Works great on the Ruger not sure why it didn't on the M1A.
