Has anyone bought a new walnut stock, for their M1A build from Fulton Armory, and if so what are your opinions ?

They are Boyd's. The GI profile has a shaved belly, closer to the liner. Other dimensions are same as a medium weight. You can get a hand selected one if you pay extra.

Kurt, I'm going to plead ignorance as to what you mean by "shaved belly" ; so is that a detriment to fitting a receiver/barrel to the stock, or is it something that won't really affect the fitting process.

Doesn't affect fitting. Medium weight National Match style stocks have more wood, all over, than USGI. The GI profile ones offered by Fulton have the bottom sanded close to the liner, as on USGI, but the rest of the stock retains the medium weight profile.

The usgi profile stocks look good. My springfield stock looks a little bloated
