I was searching the internet and came across this scope mount http://www.m14.ca/
Does anybody know anything about this. I emailed them and they quoted me a price of $130. Seems like a good idea and not a bad price.
It appears as if it will probably be a very solid mount.
The design was obviously a direct copy of....uh, I mean to say, "inspired by"...Troy's Batterail mounting system. Neither of which work for me, personally, because I want my iron sights intact. It might be great, however, for anyone wanting a scoped rifle only.
M14.CA also appear to be making their own aluminum stock chassis, as well.
It will be interesting to follow the development of these new Canadian made products.
It looks a bit like the mount on the model 25 that Springfield made some years ago. They both use the sight ears on the rear. But the Springfield had a permanent mount point at the forward part of the mount looked like it went around the barrel. this one might interest me if it were made of steel not Aluminum.
