I'm looking for the very first EBR chassis with the longer handguard and slick plastic pistol grip. What are these officially referred to as? Gen1 perhaps?

I'm trying to do a Google search for them, but I can't seem to find the correct terminology.ICONSAD

I think it goes like this:
Mod 0 = Old-school Sage collapsing stock with a long one piece kydex hand guard.
Mod 1 = AR style buffer tube collapsing stock with short 2 piece kydex hand guards.
Mod 2 = AR style Magpul PRS stock with either short or long hand guards.

Where it's confusing to me is I think the first EBR stocks made were the same length as the regular M14 stocks. I have one of these long stocks and noticed it was different than all the stocks pictured on the web. They must have shortened them a couple inches to save weight during the very early stages of production, so both of these stocks (long & short) are simply referred to as the "Mod 0".

If anyone has more information on these early longer stocks, I'm interested in hearing about it.

I thought they were simply referred to as 1st gen Sage stocks. The latter were called "chop mods" and the front end was cut down as well as other changes to reduce weight.

I believe only 25 were made available to civilians, not counting military take offs.

All "Mods" as well as the EMR are based on the latter chop mod chassis.

Wow so my EBR chassis could be one of only 25 made?

Original upper hand guard length was 13 inches.
Mod 0 chop mod hand guard length was about 11.25 inches.

Is the side of your long stock marked with "patient pending"?
